Predsjednik Naroda i pravde (NiP) Elmedin Konaković povodom 30. godišnjice od početka opsade Sarajeva prisjetio se kako je tokom rata dva puta kao mladi košarkaš napuštao grad i vraćao se.
“Neizmjerno volim svoj rodni grad. Dva puta sam tokom opsade Sarajeva napuštao BiH, odlazio u inostranstvo kratko i oba puta se vratio u svoj voljeni grad. Jednom sa KK Bosnom, a drugi put sa mladom reprezentacijom BiH. Teže je bilo vratiti se u opkoljeno Sarajevo nego iz njega izaći”, napisao je Konaković.
Kaže da je prvi povratak bio kao filmska priča.
“Autobus prepun mladih sportista, uglavnom maloljetnih, rafali PAM-a sa Ilidže po autobusu nakon kojih je vozač stao na sred ledine i čistine i pobjegao. Ostavio nas tako izložene četničkim rafalima, ugasio autobus i pobjegao. Mi malo stariji smo mlađe kolege vodili do zaklona pa se vraćali po druge koji su ležali u autobusu i čekali. U samo nekoliko minuta evakuisali cijeli autobus. Niko ranjen i niko poginuo. Slomljene naočale treneru kojeg sam u toj trci nagazio najveća su šteta”, napisao je na Facebooku.
Konaković se prisjeća da ni drugi povratak nakon utakmica reprezentacije nije bio puno lakši.
“Nakon tih povrataka sam ostajao kući dan ili dva i vraćao se u jedinicu na borbene zadatke. Jednom sa Sardinije direktno na Nišićku visoravan. Nakon mjesec dana mira i mora, 42 dana teške i surove zime na -20 stepeni, u borbena dejstva. Isto tako i moj Zlatko Moratic-Secer i Igor Stojanović, pripadnici MUP-a i Armije RBiH”, naveo je.
Ističe da su u njegovoj grupi bili maloljetnici i trojica su imala po 19 ili 20 godina.
“I već po dvije godine borbenih iskustava, tad već veterani rata. Probijali se kroz kišu metaka, granata, kroz tunel u svoj voljeni grad. Toliko smo te grade voljeli. I danas te jednako volimo. Danas kao nikad prije, kroz prizmu agresije na Ukrajinu, surovi nepravedni svijet shvata šta se dešavalo u opkoljenom Sarajevu. Danas kao nikad prije, kroz prizmu agresije na Ukrajinu, svi shvataju koliko je snažan bio otpor agresorima na BiH, koliko je snažna volja našeg naroda i koliko smo srcem branili svoj grad i domovinu”, naveo je.
Konaković ističe da je na Ukrajinsku krizu svijet reagovao za 44 sata, a zbog agresije na BiH tek nakon 44 mjeseca.
“I neka je. Na agresiju na BiH svijet je reagovao za 44 mjeseca. Bilo bi lakše da ih barem malo zbog toga grize savjest. Ne može se pokoriti grad u koji se njegova mladost vraća iz evropskih metropola kroz metke i granate da ga brani. Ta je ljubav jača od svake agresije. 30 godina od opsade Sarajeva.”
